For those of you keeping score with Kassidy and school, I found out from her teacher the next day that she was just having an "out-of-body" experience day - it was like she wasn't there mentally. Since her red light day and our conversation with her, she has had all good days in school. But every day when we are getting dressed for school, I tell her that we have to put our "remembering head" on and we pretend to change our heads. Then when we are close to the school I remind her "remembering head" to pay attention, follow directions and focus. Then when we get home we take our "remembering head" off and put on our "playing head" again. I don't know if this is a good idea or not but it is working so far.
