Exciting news: yesterday we all went out as a family...the kids were so excited to get out of the house and go in the car after 3 long months that they really did not care where we were going. Shane just kept saying, "the car is fixed, daddy's car is fixed". After some errands we went to McDonalds and the kids went crazy running around in the play area with other kids. (Mommy forgot the camera...sorry.) Today we went to the park and the store.

Video: The kids got a car
We got this hummer for $20....already got our moneys' worth out of it! It also came with a Barbie quad but it needs a battery so that one is not running right now. Considering they each run for over $200 new, I think we got a killer deal at $10 each.

Video: Easter Part 2 - Egg hunt
With a little help from Daddy and Uncle Jeff, all eggs were found. It was the kids idea to dress up in their superheros costumes...why you may ask? According to Kassidy, it would give them the super powers they needed to find the eggs. However, it looks like next year when Shane is bigger it will be a fight to the death over who gets which egg!

Yes, Kassidy is still not wearing clothes. Now that the jeep is up and running, I will be making her a doctors appt ASAP to find out what we can do to help her skin not be itchy and break out from wearing clothes. Hope you enjoy the video. We interrupt this blog...
We interrupt this blog for an important special report....after a VERY long wait for a new engine, Eugene the jeep has successfully made it through the engine replacement and is out of recovery. We are happy to report that Eugene is doing excellent and went for her first long drive on Saturday with Tina behind the wheel. Both were full of joy to finally be away from the house (Eugene has been stuck at home for over a year and Tina since the second week of Dec 2007). Eugene will have to take it easy for the first 500 miles to break in the new engine and will receive cosmetic and inhancement improvements as time and money permits. Our thanks to the wonderful team of Chris and Jeff (90% Chris) who helped to bring Eugene back to life.

Happy Easter Everyone
The kids each received a letter from the easter bunny today. If you click on each letter it will enlarge so you can read it.

We made the glitter bottle by filling a clean bottle 3/4 full of lite corn syrup. Then we added glitter (obviously the kids added the glitter since they put a little too much) and then filled the rest of the bottle with water. Then put the cap on and shake....it's that easy!

Where is everyone?
Sorry that I haven't added anything for a few days, I have been having a bad Fibromyalgia week....although I doubt anyone noticed because I don't think anyone out there is even watching.
If you are out there, the latest news on Kassidy is that she is fully pottytrained and even stays dry through the night. She doesn't need to be reminded to go, just has to learn now how to pull her drawers up correcting when she is done. We have had no accidents in a week!
Shane is talking a mile a minute non stop....driving mommy crazy to no end. He is getting very attached to Daddy lately, he even had me print a picture of him and daddy together to put in a special picture frame and then he put it up on the inside of the front door. And he has been asking for his own "panties" (I have to keep telling him that boys wear underwear) so I guess I will be potty training again real soon.
My next step is getting them to go to sleep in their own beds and then staying there all night so that mommy can finally get back to her own bed after 5 years. Gotta say Chris is a saint for putting up with me on this one for so long. You really know that you are loved when a husband would put up with this for 5 years! It won't be easy for them or me making the transition but I am mostly to blame (just as I was with Kassidy's late pottytraining) so I will have to deal with whatever they throw my way. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Kassidy's latest masterpiece
This is Kassidy's latest masterpiece....at least that is what she said when I asked her what it was. Then I asked her if it is a pregnant alien and she said no, it is a boy and a baby. The other night she told me she wanted me to get a baby.....Chris is not allowed to even look at me now!
