Happy Chinese New Year

According to NickJr, the Chinese new year is on its way so we made some Chinese lanterns to celebrate it (and to give us something to do while we are stuck in the house!). And Kassidy will be 5 years old on Feb 20th....where does the time go. So now my goal for the next 20 or so days? To make sure she is not the first 5 year old still wearing diapers!

A picture of Maggie that I took today....poor thing is stuck in the house all day and night because she HATES the snow....she barely tolerates it long enough to go potty. When the weather improves we will have to take her for a well deserved outing.

The new look in Northern Nevada

In case anyone is interested, this is the new look in the Reno area....quite simple but still stunning! Sorry for so long between posts...Daddy has been sick all week with a cold that turned into a slight case of pneumonia on Friday with an emergency trip to the ER with transportation compliments of REMSA. Daddy is fine now but it was pretty scary Friday night although the kids thought is was pretty cool having a fire truck in front of the house. Now Shane and mommy have the cold but Kassidy is still going strong..for now. Our love to all!

The Official stance for going online

I had to do a video of Shane playing games online. It is amazing what he can do online at just 2.5 years old. I have to get him to his site (usually Elmo at Sesame Street) and sometimes find the exact game he wants to play but after that he is on his own. He has such concentration when he is moving the cursor with the mouse, he even sticks his tongue out between his lips for extra strength. It is so cute.

Here is a picture of CJ now...taken Oct 2007. Boy has that baby I was holding grown up! And he is only 14. And yes that is his mom (my sister Michele) with him. They were in a wedding so they don't normally look so formal.

Wow, let the memories flow!!!! This is a picture of me (yes, Tina) and my nephew CJ taken around July 1994. I used to think I was so fat back then....now I would KILL for that body back! I started scanning old pictures into the computer today and thought I would share this one with you all.

Kassidy made her first video today....lets just say that she better marry rich when she grows up because her talents are not in production or singing. Maybe she will be an artisit or an author since she has a great imagination.

Crazy for my new camera

Since I have received my new camera for Christmas from my sister, I have been going crazy taking pics of the kids all day long. They probably think mommy had the camera attached to her hand permanently.

No news is good news

As the saying goes, no news is good news I guess. Today was a rather boring day. Nothing new to report except that I am SO sore from exercising on Monday that I haven't done it again yet....I will make myself do it tomorrow, hopefully :-).

And now it begins.....

Today I decided it is time for me to get healthy for me and my kids so I started to work out....and boy am I sore! Why am I posting this? So that everyone who looks here is aware and can keep me on my toes (so to speak) and dedicated to getting healthy. Also, I want Kassidy and Shane to start seeing exercise as a daily routine so that they don't have to "get healthy" at 40 years old like their mom. Believe it or not, I weigh about 205 at this very moment. Of course I believe that about 20 of those pounds is in my boobs (ok, maybe not 20) but hopefully they will reduce if I stay fit (although Chris is hoping they get bigger, go figure!). It was really cute because as I was working out to Kathy Smith's upper body weight workout, Kassidy and Shane were trying to do all the movements with me. I guess that just goes to show you that I am heading in the correct direction for me and my kids. Love ya.

Today was kind of a kick back day. Daddy was busy outside helping his friend put an engine in his friends car so it was just Mommy and the kids. It was up to mommy to find things to do and one of the things we did was play with the Dinoworld track that Shane got for Christmas. Hope you enjoy the video.

I did two videos at McDonalds. One is the kids eating at the table. The other is my view as I am helping Shane thru the play tunnels and down the slide (he is still too short to get from level to level, ain't I lucky!?!). The live in the tubes video will be pretty shaky and even just weird sometimes as I had to crawl thru the tunnels and try to video at the same time so I hope I don't make any of you sick with all the motion. Enjoy.

Ok, we are back from McDonalds. Boy, was it packed in the kids section....I guess there are a lot of kids not getting out because of the snow lately. The kids in there were wild and screaming like I have never seen before at this McDonalds. But Kassidy and Shane had fun and finally got out themselves so it was worth the craziness.
